Atlantic City Walking Tour and Atlantic City Cruises Boat Trip of Atlantic City

Welcome to the bustling boardwalks and vibrant streets of Atlantic City, where history, entertainment, and coastal charm coverage to create a captivating experience. Lace up your walking shoes and embark on a journey through this iconic seaside destination (~1 hour). The walking tour will include strolling along the Atlantic City Boardwalk, taking in the sights and sounds of the amusement piers, street performers and famous Steel Piers to the historic Absecon Lighthouse that has guided ships along the coast since 1857. You will end the tour at Gardner’s Basin, a picturesque waterfront area offering boat tours, waterfront dining, and serene views of the bay. Join us for a delightful afternoon cruise as we boat around Atlantic City and see the sights, and possible some dolphins, from a waterfront view. Enjoy a 2-hour (2:00-4:00 p.m.) trip that includes heading out to the ocean to see the Atlantic City skyline from the water and a visit through the back bays where you will see the scenic waterways of AC. Cash bar will be available.

*Boat Tour boarding begins at 12:45 p.m. and we recommend everyone arriving by 1:30 p.m. to ensure proper entry to the tour.

Participants will have the opportunity to tour the Rochester Institute of Technology and the University. of Rochester. These facilities are housed on two uniquely different campuses. Throughout your tour participants will learn about facility successes, challenges, and speak with staff about programming opportunities.

Intramural Sports Clinic 101

Tuesday, 10/24 – 3:00pm to 5:00pm

This intramural clinic is designed for upcoming and young professionals in years 1-5 of their careers. Upon completion of this clinic, individuals will obtain skills and best practices necessary for conducting their own intramural clinics. Participants will be able to adequately train and evaluate intramural staff and take their teaching skills to the next level.

Mt. Hope Cemetery Clean-Up and Tour

Registrants of this activity will have the opportunity to give back to the community of Rochester by supporting the clean-up of the Mount Hope Cemetery, one of the most magnificent Victorian cemeteries in America. Take a step back in history and visit the final resting place of an eminent human rights leader, a tireless advocate for women’s rights, a media mogul, an influential landscape architect, and innovative poet, and tens of thousands of people who shaped Rochester’s past as well as that of the country.

CCSU also has a state-of-the-art Esports Center. The center is a gamer’s paradise, as well as a hub for research in the fields of interactive media design and game development. Established in 2019, it is furnished with Respawn gaming chairs, Dell Alienware Computers, Xbox, Nintendo, and PlayStation consoles. It also boasts ADA-compliant tables and controllers.

CCSU recognizes that Esports are a great way for students to build peer groups, meet new friends, and collaborate in a competitive and respectful environment. Additionally, video games are effective tools to teach critical thinking, problem solving, and task management. The Esports Center is located in the center of campus and equipped with a dedicated Internet, four 80-inch screens, and a shoutcasting booth complete with green screen, microphones, and cameras.

UConn Recreation provides exceptional facilities, programs and services that promote an active and healthy lifestyle. Our comprehensive platform of services includes Fitness, Competitive Sports, Outdoor Adventure, and Special Event programming. We also operate state of the art facilities and fields, including the recently completed and national award winning, Student Recreation Center. Located in the epicenter of campus, the UConn Student Recreation Center is the premier destination for campus engagement and wellbeing. The Center totals more than 200,000 square feet and includes basketball, racquetball and multi-activity courts, cardiovascular and strength training areas and multiple fitness studios. The space also features an aquatics center with two swimming pools, a climbing center, running track, and meeting and support areas for intramural and club sports. An Outdoor Adventure Center serves as a space for students to gather and enjoy outdoor instructional experiences and partake in team building exercises. The new Student Recreation Center conforms to Connecticut High Performance Building Code regulations and is registered as a LEED GOLD and SITES certified project.
