Please join us for the 2019 NIRSA Region 1 Conference in Annapolis, MD. Our theme, “Charting a New Course,” reflects the planning committee’s goal to bring awareness to the changing landscape of campus recreation and higher education to promote, celebrate, learn, and grow as individuals during a time that feels defined by rapid and constant changes.
As campus recreation professionals, we work in dynamic environments where collaboration and innovation are vital to the work we do on behalf of students. Our collective voices share in the story that advances our work through an enhanced understanding of the student experience. Through outcomes and accountability, we are asked to provide tangible evidence of the difference we make in the lives of students on our campuses and to justify the services we provide. We believe that through creative collaborations, a commitment to lifelong learning, and the incorporation of fresh perspectives on health & wellbeing, equity, diversity, inclusion, and leadership that we can truly make a difference in the lives of others.
We employ countless individuals working with and around students in a way that directly or indirectly contributes to student growth and success. During the conference, we hope to explore the ways that individuals in both traditional and nontraditional campus recreation roles impact campus life.
The NIRSA Region 1 Conference is an opportunity for professionals and students of all levels and backgrounds to come together to participate in engaging sessions where we may share and learn from our unique experiences. We hope you will join us Oct 28-30 in Annapolis, MD!
