Meet your RI/CT State Student Leader – Ian Gannon
My name is Ian Gannon and I am the Graduate Assistant in Facility Operations and Member Services for Campus Recreation at the University of Rhode Island. I have been with Campus Recreation at URI beginning as a sophomore undergrad and it has been one of the most incredible experiences since I started. My undergrad degree is in Kinesiology- Exercise Science and now I am currently in the Masters of Business Administration Program. My job here at Campus Rec suits me perfectly; being able to manage many different aspects of our department as well as being a very involved student, it fits everything that is me. I was born and raised in New York City but Rhode Island has captured a piece of my heart, even though I will always stay a city guy. I’m also typically a very active and involved individual. Between working out, spending time with friends and being involved on-campus, I try to stay as occupied as possible. The only time of the week you will find me in front of a TV is for Game of Thrones of if Manchester United is playing, there is nothing that can drag me away!
